Light Efficient Design warrants each Solera lighting product and accessory to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of up to 5 years, depending on the model.  The warranty period begins from the purchase date on the Light Efficient Design invoice for each respective product.  If it is not possible to confirm the warranty date, then the warranty period will begin on the manufacturing date code of the product.  The warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferrable.

The performance of Solar products will depend on direct sunlight, shading, temperature, the environment, installation, program, handling, and pre-installation conditions for proper operation.  The warranty covers manufacturing defects and does not cover a difference in performance due to these conditions.  If a product is stored in adverse conditions, or for a period exceeding 6 months, then the battery performance may be reduced and is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Certain fixtures may have a remote control or other accessories provided with them.  The loss, breakage or failure of these components does not necessitate return of the fixture.  Please contact tech support to request replacement parts.

If a Solera product fails to operate for the warranty period due to a manufacturing defect, then Light Efficient Design will provide troubleshooting assistance, repair parts or a replacement of the failed product in accordance with the Solera Limited Warranty.

WARRANTY SERVICE CLAIMS: Prior to filing a warranty claim, it is necessary to confirm that the fixture is properly installed, programmed and in an appropriate environment.  Please call our Tech Support Line to troubleshoot before filing an RGA.

Light Efficient Design must issue an RGA number for all requests for warranty review. To make a warranty claim, notify Light Efficient Design within thirty (30) days of the failure.

RETURN OF DEFECTIVE PRODUCT: After contacting and receiving a RGA number, the purchaser/user shall promptly return the product after receiving instructions regarding if, when and where to ship the product. Product must be returned within 10 days of receiving the RGA number and authorization. The shipping box must be clearly marked with RGA number. Failure to follow this procedure shall void this warranty. A credit memo will be issued once returned product is received by Light Efficient Design. Replacement lamp(s) will require customer to issue a matching PO. Light Efficient Design reserves the right to examine all claimed defective lighting products to determine the cause of failure and patterns of usage and reserves the right to be the sole judge as to whether Solera lighting products are in fact defective and covered under this warranty.

LIMITS OF LIABILITY: The foregoing shall constitute the exclusive remedy of the purchases and the sole liability of Light Efficient Design for our lighting products. IN PARTICULAR, NO WARRANTY OR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS MADE OR IMPLIED.

In no event shall Light Efficient Design be liable for any other costs or damages, including lost profits or revenues, incidental, special, or consequential damages, as well as labor and equipment rental associated with troubleshooting, replacement parts or replacement fixtures.

INSTALLATION AND OPERATION REQUIRMENTS: This limited warranty only applies when Solera products are properly installed; are operated in situations approved for the application and in the environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, water exposure, within the normal specified operating range of the lighting products. This warranty does not apply to any acts of God or as a result of any abuse, misuse, abnormal use or use in violation of applicable standard, code or instructions for use in installations including those contained in the latest National Electrical Code (NEC), the Standards for Safety of Underwriters Laboratory, Inc. (UL), Standards for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), in Canada, the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Europe (CE), Australia (C-Tick). This warranty will not apply in the event of conditions demonstrating abnormal use or stress.  Some states do not allow exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
